As an accomplished guitarist, producer, and songwriter, GRAMMY® winner Reggie Lucas was highly regarded as a versatile music creator. Having first achieved success playing guitar in Miles Davis’ band while still a teenager, Reggie went on to work with a wide range of impressive acts including the Four Tops, Lou Rawls, and Madonna. Along with James Mtume, he earned a GRAMMY Award for Best Rhythm & Blues Song for 1980 for Stephanie Mills’ “Never Knew Love Like This Before.” Reggie will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on forever. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends, and creative collaborators during this difficult time.
