You’re Invited to the 2018 Fort Worth/Tarrant County ACT-SO Kickoff

The Fort Worth/Tarrant County branch of the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological, Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO)  has a rich history at the winner’s podium and has risen again to prominence nationally. Last year’s national winners, Miss Madison Anglin (Bronze Medal: Humanities- Music Composition) and Miss Toiya Smith (Gold Medal:Business-Entrepreneurship) are now  college freshman, embarking on the next phase of their lives’ journey. Their wins are the latest in a long line of national prominence for the Fort Worth/Tarrant County branch. While each local competitor won’t grace the podium, this local branch believes that true winners ‘act so’ and the winning doesn’t end at the podium.

If you have a high-school aged student interested in the 2018 ACT-SO competition, you are encouraged to attend an information session Saturday morning at the Fort Worth NAACP Headquarters, located at 1063 Evans Avenue.
